Recently, ICBC IPO has won the UK premier financial and economic media, The Banker's "Global Deal of the Year 2007". This is the first time that The Banker selected one overall global deal and five regional deals from IPO in 85 individual countries.
The Banker stated that ICBC wrote the first chapter in having H-Share and A-Share to be listed simultaneously. ICBC IPO raised a capital as high as USD 21.9 billion, the largest IPO in the world ever since as well as the largest IPO both in H-Share market and A-Share market. ICBC successful floatation in capital market of Shanghai and HK is a milestone of China financial business reform.
