It is reported that ICBC published the Announcement of 2007 Estimated Annual Results on China Securities Journal, Shanghai Securities News, Securities Times and the websites of stock exchange of both Shanghai and Hong Kong on January 18th, according to the requirement of "Rules Governing the Listing of Securities" on the Stock Exchange of Shanghai.
As is revealed in the report, ICBC has made an impressive performance in 2007. Rapid growth is achieved in each aspect of ICBC's operations, especially, the significant growth in fees and commission income, a remarkable growth in net profit. Based on the "Chinese Business Enterprises Accounting Standard", the company has carried out a preliminary estimation of the financial information for 2007. Compared to 2006, the net profit for 2007 is estimated to increase by above 60%.
Pursuant to the requirement of "Rules Governing the listing of Securities" on the Stock Exchange of Shanghai, ICBC delisted A share for an hour in the morning of January 18th and relisted it at 10:30AM on the same day.
