Stable demand from Shenzhen Gas Group and development of re-export business supported Shenzhen Sino-Benny's LPG imports.
Zhuhai NewOcean fell to the second place with 436,968mt of imports, sharply down 46.1% year-on-year, indicated C1's data. The importer lost some industrial customers in the year after it annulled low-price strategy; meantime, competition in wholesale market became fiercer with the participation of a few new traders like Dongguan Jovo. In addition, Sino-Benny and BP Zhuhai exported more bonded LPG in 2010, which impacted Zhuhai NewOcean's re-export business.
BP Zhuhai ranked the third thanks to relatively large capacity of its LPG storage.
Oriental Energy took the fourth place, which was the largest one among East China-based importers. The importer purchased BP's LPG storages in Ningbo and Taicang in 2009 and got approval to operate bonded LPG business at Ningbo terminal in the second half of 2010.
Ouhua Energy fell to the fifth place mainly because of popularization of alternative natural gas. It recorded fewer exports to Vietnam after the country brought on stream a new refinery.
