ATM (agriculture technician member) takes soil sampling at a GPS monitoring site at a vineyard on March 23rd. The data will be exported into a GPS monitoring database. Over 5000 acres of vineyards in Baohe district have been equipped with multiple GPS positioning and monitoring sites since the end of 2009 to position and track the variations in soil fertility, growing condition of grapes, pests and natural disasters. This scientific technique can help farmers to increase production and income. |
