Subsidy issued to energy-efficient car buyers

Owners of 71 types of energy-efficient vehicles from 16 companies on the recently published promotion list of energy-efficient cars (passenger vehicles with engines less than 1.6 liters in size), will receive a new preferential policy to customers. Every customer will get a one-off 3000 yuan subsidy per energy-efficient vehicle from the manufacturers.

It is estimated that the subsidy range will have been expanded to 4 million sets of vehicles, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3.3 million tons by 2012.
