An agreement was signed by JAC (Jianghuai Automotive Company), Navistar and NC2 Global LLC on Sep.16. They will jointly produce medium and heavy trucks and diesel fuel engines.
According to the agreement, a joint venture will be settled at Hefei Economic Development Zone. The middle and heavy trucks project with an investment not less than 3 billion yuan will have a capacity of producing 80 thousand vehicles annually. Meanwhile, 180 thousand light diesel fuel engines and 70 thousand medium and heavy diesel fuel engines will be produced every year.
Through the opportunity, JAC vows to reach among global top three commercial vehicle manufacturers.
"They have technologies, so do us. They have overseas market and we also have resources overseas , said Zuo Yanan, chairman of JAC, who believes the cooperation differs from traditional automotive cooperation as market for technology .
