At the closing ceremony of the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, the audience were deeply impressed by the local aboriginal music. The wonderful songs presented by Tygerberg Children's Choir, in particular, gave people an unforgettable memory. Fortunately, the choir will take part in the 6th WCG.
At the opening ceremony of the WCG, the members of Kearsney College Choir from South Africa were very active in the auditorium, waving their national flags excitedly. The choir, composed exclusively of passionate 14-18-year-old boys, has so far won quite a few gold medals in international choir games.
The choirs from South Africa have brought pure African singing style to Shaoxing.
The most extraordinary feature of South African choirs is that their songs are mixed with many motions and beats. Traditional percussion instruments are properly combined with modern western ones. What's more, the singers sometimes try to imitate the sounds of the nature to present the original flavour to the audience.
