Agreement was reached in terms of the increase in intercollegiate exchange students and the promotion of teacher and student visits and the signing of cooperation agreements between Tourism College of Zhejiang and Kaohsiung Hospitality College, Zhejiang College of Construction and Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Hangzhou Vocational and Technical College and Da-Yeh University, Taiwan was promoted when Lv Zushan, Governor of Zhejiang Province, visit Taiwan with his delegation this June. Meanwhile, the Cross-Straits Exchange Students Project was initiated, with 16 Zhejiang and Taiwan vocational colleges in the exchange list.
The application for exchange students will start this September and it is estimated that the first batch of excellent vocational college students from Zhejiang will go and study in Taiwan vocational colleges next spring. After their study in Taiwan, students will get study certificates issued by Taiwan vocational colleges and dispatch colleges in Zhejaing will acknowledge the credits they get in Taiwan.
It s learned from Shu Peidong, Head of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, that the educational communication between Zhejiang and Taiwan will involve teachers and students in undergraduate universities and vocational colleges.
