The Fifth Lu Xun Literature Prize Awarding Ceremony was held on the evening of November 9 in Shaoxing, the hometown of Lu Xun.
Named Lu Xun-Literature-Shaoxing , this awarding ceremony highlights literature, the Lu Xun spirit and Shaoxing features. First awarded in 1986, Lu Xun Literature Prize is now one of the most prestigious literary honors in China, and is also a national literary prize hosted by the Chinese Writers Association. The fifth Lu Xun Literature Prize is bestowed to 30 novels, poems, prose, essays, reportage, literary theory and reviews. Among the winners are Qiao Ye s The Slowest Is to Be Alive (medium-length novel), Lu Min s Accompanied Banquet (short novel) and Li Ming s The Epicenter Is at the Human Heart (reportage).
