Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People s Congress, met with Mitch Daniels, Governor of Indiana, USA and his group on November 10.
Mr. Zhao extended his warm welcome to Mitch Daniels and briefed him on the economic and social development of Zhejiang Province since last year. Mr. Zhao said that it has been 23 years since Zhejiang and Indiana established friendly relations. In spite of the differences in the stages of economic development, culture and system, we have increasing common interests, growing mutual need and closer contact in all fields. We encourage Zhejiang enterprises to develop Zhejiang by going global , and to carry out mutually beneficial cooperation and achieve mutual development with all parties on the basis of equality and friendship.
Mitch Daniels expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he has received in Zhejiang and his satisfaction with the cooperation between Zhejiang and Indiana in fields like economy and trade. He said that the State of Indiana will create better investment environment for Zhejiang enterprises and make further efforts to upgrade our cooperation in economy and trade.
