The ninth China High-quality Rice Expo was held on December, 12th in Hangzhou. The event has attracted high-quality rice from over 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions around China.
Sponsored by the National Agro-Tech Extension and Service Center (NATESC), and China Agro-technological Extension Association (CATEA), and co-organized by Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and China National Rice Research Institute, the Expo drew nearly 100 enterprises specializing in rice processing, the production of farm supply, the manufacture of farm equipment and breeding from all over the country.
Nearly 100 rice breeds from 27 leading enterprises in Zhejiang Province were presented at the Expo, constituting the largest lineup of this event. And one of them, Yongyou 12, an indica-japonica super high-yielding hybrid rice with a plant height of 1.2 meters turned out to be the star of the Expo.
