The second phase of the crude oil terminal project of Shihua, Daxie port area, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port passed the preliminary design review of China s Ministry of Transport on Dec. 8,, which indicates that the project enters the substantive stage of implementation of the construction of the largest crude oil terminal in China. The crude oil terminal located in the east of Daxie Island of Ningbo will be built into a crude oil terminal of the capacity of 450000 tons including relevant supporting facilities with the designed annual throughput capacity of 18 millions tons. The crude oil terminal covers the length of 490 meters with the structure of piled breasting dolphin and the total investment of the project will cost about 190 million yuan.
As the largest crude oil discharge operation terminal , the construction of the second phase of the crude oil terminal project of Shihua, Daxie port area, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port will further the completion of transport system of crude oil in the Yangtze Delta Region, strengthen the status and function of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port among the coastal ports of China, meet the needs of the large size of international ships and reduce effectively the cost of transportation while satisfying the increasing needs of crude oil of China.
