From now on, more and more people can expect to eat camellia oil, known as the Oriental Olive Oil , which will also benefit more farmers at the same time. The 2010 modern agricultural tea-oil industry enhancement project, which the Provincial Forestry Department plans to finish by July 2011, will arrange investment of 121 million yuan from above-provincial level fiscal revenues, encouraging projects like cultivating fine breed tea-oil camellias, improving the low-output tea-oil camellias and so on. The finish of the project means that the newly developed fine breed tea-oil camellias will cover a total area of over 72 thousand mu (approximately 4.8 thousand hectares), which may produce additional camellia oil of 3600 tons, satisfying the demand of 200 thousand people for edible oil for a year.
