On the morning of December 29th, as a new bright spot of Jiangyin s service industry, Jiangyin Wanda Plaza was started its construction. City leaders of Jiangyin Zhu Minyang, Wang Xinan, Wu Chongdi, Gao Pei and Cao Enhua, and Zhang Yi, Vice General Manager and Manager of Project Management Center of Dalian Wanda Group, attended the ground-breaking ceremony. Zhu Minyang, a member of Wuxi Municipal CPC Standing Committee and Secretary of Jiangyin Municipal Party Committee, announced the commencement of Jiangyin Wanda Plaza.
Dalian Wanda Group has developed into the top investor and operator of commercial property in Asia, specializing in four major areas: commercial properties, luxury hotels, cultural industries and chain stores. Jiangyin Wanda Plaza is located to the western group of Jiangyin, to the east of Luhua Ditch, to the south of West Renmin Road and to the west of Wenfu Road, occupying a total area of 550,000 m2. And Jiangyin Wanda Plaza, a multi-functional and comprehensive city mall, will be completed in 2012. At the ceremony, Mayor of Jiangyin Wang Xinan said in his speech that Jiangyin Wanda Plaza would be a key milestone in the development history of the western group. It was an integration of business occupancy, catering, shopping, entertainment and other functions. In order to speed up the construction of Jiangyin Wanda Plaza, relevant departments needed to do their best to ensure the complement and operation of Jiangyin Wanda Plaza as soon as possible.
At the ground-breaking ceremony, Dalian Wanda Group donated RMB 300,000 to Jiangyin Charity Federation to help poor students of Jiangyin.
