The construction of Shin-Etsu (Jiangsu) Optical Fiber Perform was started

On the afternoon of January 27th, the opening ceremony of Shin-Etsu (Jiangsu) Optical Fiber Perform Co., Ltd was held. The construction will help to expand the emerging industries of Jiangyin and speed up the agglomeration of new material industry in New Harbor City. Zhu Minyang, a member of Wuxi Municipal CPC Standing Committee and Secretary of Jiangyin Municipal Party Committee, and representative shareholders activated the crystal ball together, which indicated the start of the construction.

Chief Consul of Consulate-General of Japan in Shanghai, Vice President of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., and city leaders of Jiangyin Xue Liang, Ji Jun and Fei Ping attended the ceremony.

Before the opening ceremony, Zhu Minyang met with the Chief Consul of Consulate-General of Japan in Shanghai and the Vice President of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. Zhu Minyang said that Shin-Etsu Chemical was a leading enterprise on optical fiber perform manufacturing in the world. The cooperation with Fasten and TKH would help to build a thorough industry chain and promote the competitiveness of products in optical fiber industry. On behalf of Jiangyin Municipal Party Committee and Jiangyin Municipal Government, Zhu Minyang also expressed that Jiangyin would fully support the construction and solve the difficulty during the development to realize industrial agglomeration.

Shin-Etsu (Jiangsu) Optical Fiber Perform Co., Ltd is invested by Shin-Etsu Chemical, Fasten Group and TKH. It occupies an area of 206 mu (1 mu = 0.0667 hectares) with a planned investment of JPY 8.2 billion and is specialized in the manufacture of optical fiber perform. Besides, it is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2011.
