Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu, general director of the National Disaster Relief Headquarter and member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, recently arrived at the disaster areas in Gansu. He inspected the mudslide control in Longnan and Tianshui, on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council he visited the stricken people and expressed solicitude and condolence for the soldiers and people from all walks of life who were engaged in the rescue.
