In over 300 trade talks, more than 150 South Korean enterprises held one-to-one negotiations with 80 enterprises from Sichuan Province. On July 1st, the reporter heard from the Department of Commerce of Sichuan Province that the 2010 China (Sichuan) South Korea Economic and Trade Fair had been successfully held on June 30th in Seoul, South Korea.
It is also said that this event was co-sponsored by Sichuan Provincial Government and Korean economic bodies like Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and Republic of Korea-China Friendship Association, and it is also undertaken by the Department of Commerce of Sichuan Province. More than 10 Sichuan enterprises had reached investment intentions immediately with their Korean partners in many areas like food, bio-fertilizer, machine work, metal material, etc.
In order to promote eastward investment, Sichuan provincial government decided to send economic and trade delegations to Singapore, Japan and South Korea. Japan will bethe next stop after South Korea. Delegations from Sichuan attracted great attention from South Korean enterprises. Korean Shinzan Co., Ltd. held out the olive branch to Ganzi Huakang Import and Export Holding Co., Ltd. The two parties had signed a preliminary sales agreement of 500 tons of mushrooms.
Pangang Gangcheng Group Co., Ltd. And Korean Yuanziyu Chemical Ind. Co., Ltd which made a contract for trade cooperation during the manufacturing of sponge titanium, with goods of 100 thousand dollars to be delivered in the near future. Suining Miaoshan Guanyin Embroidery Workshop signed a contract on talents cooperation, according to which a program to train 50 Korean embroidery technicians will soon be initiated.
Person in charge on the Korean side said that they would like to further cooperation with Sichuan enterprises in such industrial fields as auto parts, commercial vehicle manufacture, LCD, electronic applications, food, E-commerce, chemical industry and Intelligence Control.
