A total of 190 Guangdong enterprises participate in the Sixth China-ASEAN Expo, which opened today (Oct 20) in Nanning, Guangxi province. Among the 190 enterprises, 132 are from Shenzhen, displaying their latest electronic and electrical appliances, building materials and equipment, and agricultural products. The Expo will last for four days, extended by one day compared with the previous sessions. The exhibition booth numbered 4000 in total. And to boost the agricultural cooperation among China and the ASEAN countries, the four-day Expo establish agricultural hall for the first time. Under the impact of finical crisis, the Expo this year is regarded as an important opportunity to enhance communication and consultation on the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (FTA), which will be realized by January next year. Guangdong participated in all the previous session of the Expo. The trade volume between Guangdong and ASEAN countries accounted for 30 percent of the total amount between China and ASEAN.
