It was learned that Broad-ocean Motor has signed a contract with the national e-vehicle laboratory to make the national motor drive laboratory located in Zhongshan, which signals that Zhongshan is the home of China s research center of motor drive. Recently, Zhongshan Manufacturing Base of New Energy Commercial Vehicle and Lithium Battery, co-invested by Citic Guoan Mengguli Power Science & Technology Co. LTD and Foton Science and Future, settled in Zhongshan Coastal Industrial Park. According to the preliminary plan, the base will be constructed in three stages.

The first-stage construction is scheduled to be put into operation next year, producing annually 2 billion A lithium batteries and 20,000 commercial electric vehicles. In the future, the annual output value is expected to hit 50 billion yuan, which symbolizes that the industry in Zhongshan has got on a fast track of development as well as officially announcing the coming of a new era: being able to make an entire electric car.

Led by these leading enterprises, new energy vehicle industry will speed up its development and strategic new industries are to welcome an age of great-leap-forward development. Besides it, other industries like high-end electronics, LED new light sources and bio-pharmaceuticals are also in full swing.
