The 3rd Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) started in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the afternoon of the 3rd. Chairman of CPPCC National Committee Jia Qinglin addressed in his speech that CPPCC would attach much importance to the social instability resulting from income gulf and offer some solutions to income distribution, social aid, and fairness in public service in order to promote fairness and justice.
Jia Qinglin urged that CPPCC should be from the people and for the people, and concerns more about social progress and life improvement. Besides, CPPCC should make a survey on new social management model about rights of state-owned enterprise employees, medical insurance system, vocational education, cultural and physical progress as well as those problems concerning education, employment, housing and environment protection, etc. He still told that CPPCC members should be in more contact with their voters and help to balance different interests.
Nearly a half of the bills from CPPCC National Committee are about real estate, while protective housing and property tax levy as well as credit control about real estate make the focus. CPPCC National Committee had received 430 bills by 12 o clock of the 3rd.
