Taiwan-Guangdong Week launched yesterday

"Taiwan-Guangdong Week with the theme of A trip for cooperation, and a journey for fraternity was launched in Taipei World Trade Center yesterday. Over 1000 people attended the launching ceremony. Zhongshan Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Delegation headed by Acting Mayor Xue Xiaofeng came to Taiwan with six procurement projects worth of 64 million dollars.

On the launching day, enterprises from Taiwan and Guangdong reached agreements on 119 procurement projects of 6.661 billion dollars, a new record in procurement of mainland enterprises in Taiwan. Zhongshan Xinchang Shoe Co., Ltd. purchased oxhide of 22.077 million dollars, Zhongshan A&E Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. purchased mechanical accessories of 30.698 million dollars, and other Zhongshan enterprises including Yihua Department Store and One Plus One Super Market also came to Taiwan for procurement.
The close economic and trade contact as well as pressing demand for co-development between Taiwan and Guangdong will further promote bilateral investment, improve the development of strategic emerging industries and deepen the cooperation in electronic information, opto-electronics, new energy, LED and electric vehicles in particular.
