More than 100 various large-scaled arts activities have been held in Zengcheng Square since 2002, attracting more than 500,000 people.
The ceremony of 2010 World Tourism Day & the Opening Ceremony of Guangdong International Tourism Cultural Festival will be held on 27th September in Zengcheng Square. Meanwhile, the 24th Guangzhou (International) Food Festival & 2010 Zengcheng International Tourism and Food Festival were initiated (took the lead in opening) on 25th.
There are various impressive beautiful scenic spots and tasty foods in Zengcheng, such as Baishui Village, Central Island, Gaotan Hot Spring, Hakka Circle Dwelling, litchi feast, white gourd feast and famous seafood. According to Mayor of Zengcheng, Ye Niuping, the ceremony of the World Tourism Day is an invitation and warm welcome sent by Guangzhou to the friends around the world before the Asian Games.
