The Civil Service College (CSC) of Singapore and Macao's Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on training civil servants from Macao, the Macao Daily reported on Wednesday (Jan 12).
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Chief Executive of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chui Sai On, who arrived in Singapore on Monday for a four-day official visit.
According to the report, the CSC will provide training and consultancy services for the establishment of a new central civil servants training center by Macao SAR government.
The newspaper quoted Zhu Weigan, head of SAFP, as saying that CSC had played an important role in training civil servants of Macao since the two sides signed the first MOU in 2000.
With the new MOU signed in Singapore, the two sides will further strengthen the cooperation and provide more diversified training programs for civil servants of Macao, according to Zhu.
