A massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit Japan's northeastern Honshu Island this afternoon, triggering a 10-meter tsunami that swept away everything in its path.
According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, the Tsunami will reach coastal areas of China's Guangdong and Fujian province at 20:30 tonight, but won't cause disaster effect, reported Xinhua new agency. Guangdong Emergency Management Office has not issued any tsunami warning yet.
The Philippines, Taiwan and Indonesia all issued tsunami alerts. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued alerts for countries as far away as Colombia and Peru.
