Zhong Yangsheng, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangdong Province, met with a visiting council delegation headed by Ono Mineo from Niigata Prefecture in Guangzhou yesterday (Sept 2). Both sides expressed wishes to deepen exchanges and cooperation with each other.
Zhong extended his warm welcome to Ono Mineo, hoping his visit can help Guangdong promote the industrial restructuring and economic growth mode transformation. He said both sides maintained a close cooperation since the establishment of friendly relation between the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangdong Province and Niigata Council in 1997, adding that both Guangdong and Niigata had much to learn from each other.
Ono Mineo said he was amazed by the social and economic development of Guangdong province, saying that Guangdong becomes the indicator of Chinese economic development. According to him, there were 29 Niigata business enterprises in Guangdong province by 2009. He wished Guangdong can offer more support to help them in terms of technology, operation and management.
