To celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the PRC and Cuba, the Cuban consulate in Guangzhou held a tourism promotional event on October 18th.

The Consul General of Cuba in Guangzhou, Mr. Felix Raul Rojas, met journalists and representatives from travel agencies to speak of his country: "We have received over two million visitors per year during the past five years. 50 thousands hotel rooms are available in Cuba, and 65% of them are four or five stars. In Cuba, there are not only beaches but also cultural and historical relics. Eight cities have been recognized as cultural heritage sites.
