Security checks will start being carried out on Oct. 28th at all metro stations, ferry terminals and at Baiyun International Airport. All luggage shall be put through an X-ray machine and passengers will be searched at random. In addition to the X-ray machine, police dogs will be used to detect explosives, guns and even knives.
Passengers are advised to leave home earlier in the coming days as queues are to be expected at the beginning. These security measures shall run until after the Asian Para Games on Dec. 22nd.
