Renowned Designer Liu Chuan-kai Lectures in ECUST

On invitation of School of Art Design and Media, ECUST, Mr. Liu Chuan-kai, a world-renowned Chinese designer, gave a seminar themed People-Oriented Design in classroom 201 of the EighthTeachingBuilding on December 23rd, 2009.
Born in Taiwan, Mr. Liu Chuan-Kai traveled in many countries in Europe, America and Asia. With the design philosophy being advocating people-oriented and working experience with well-known enterprises such as Motorola and Disney, he was also appointed as one of the judges of German "IF Award" of the year 2010. Based on years of his research and working experience, Mr. Liu introduced the latest international design ideas, and systematically gave a detailed illustration on product design process, the methods of conception and the results of his research in the seminar. The lecture, strikingly featured graphic comparison, aroused in students a better understood concept that diverse and profound product designs can only be stimulated and created from the most fundamental cultural and life experience.
