Agreement  of  Joint-Training  Program  Signed  between  University  of  Akron  and  ECUST

On behalf of Professor L.M.Proenza, President of University of Akron, USA and Professor Zhendi Cheng, Dean of School of Polymer Science and Engineering, a delegation of three paid a visit to the School of Materials Science and Engineering, ECUST on March 4th, 2011. The delegation was headed by Dr. Foster, Vice Dean of the School of Polymer Science and Engineering, University of Akron. Professors from both Schools held discussions over details of the 3+2 joint training program, and confirmed that a 5-year cooperation agreement be signed between these two Schools.

According to the program agreement, the students of this project will complete three year's study in ECUST to meet the course requirements and to reach required English proficiency within the three years. At the end of three years study, special experts will be organized by the University of Akron to interview the students and those who are outstanding in the interview will enter the School of Polymer Science and Engineer of University of Akron to continue the following two years study.Students credits are to be recognized by both Schools during their 5-year study period. And if the students finish their study with the required academic achievements, they will be granted the Bachelor Degree of ECUST and the Master Degree of University of Akron.
