On Dec. 8, President Pei Gang met delegation of University of Pittsburgh led by Prof. Art Levine, Senior Vice Chancellor of Health Science and Dean of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Both sides exchanged ideas on establishing close collaborative relations in medical field.
At the meeting, President Pei extended warm welcome to the whole delegation on behalf of the University. Prof. Levine said that the University of Pittsburgh attached great importance to internationalization as well. The visit to Tongji University is with the intention of reaching consensus on implementing student/faculty exchange programs, joint scientific research in stem cell and cooperating in hospital operation.
At the end, President Pei and Prof. Levine signed MOU to formalize the relations between two institutions.
