Center for Statistical Consulting and Research at Fudan University established

Fudan, Nov. 1: The Center for Statistical Consulting and Research at Fudan University was established in October of 2008.

Former school dean, Professor ZHENG Zukang, was named general counselor of the center; Professor ZHANG Xinsheng was named director of the center, and Associate Professor LI Deyuan was named center s vice director.

Along with the development of national economy, statistical applications are more and more seen in a lot of industries, especially in economic management, financial insurance, bio-medicine, psychology, sociology. The center (http://cscr.gl.fudan.edu.cn) is dedicated to bringing forces from excellent resources in school s Department of Statistics, and providing statistical consulting and data analysis services for individuals and institutes in and out of Fudan University, as well as for enterprises and governmental units. It is also to work to push forward the cross-development between Department of Statistics and others in the school.
