TCM Seminar Successfully Held in SA

Sponsored by the Training Center of the State Food and Drug Administration of China and co-sponsored by Tasly Pharmaceutical International, the first South Africa TCM seminar was opened in the capital Johannesburg on Nov. 8 for the purpose of spreading TCM healthcare knowledge.

This seminar, an elementary healthcare program for South African natives working inside Tasly s marketing system, is aimed to carry out job training on TCM knowledge required for their work.

Many submitted applications and finally 31 were selected according to their educational background work performance. This 9-day program, which was carried out in 3 regions, Durban, East London and Johannesburg, covered a wide variety of subjects, including practice of TCM therapies. Being extremely interested, the students listened attentively and asked questions in eagerness.

When the training was over, the co-sponsor organized an exam, including written and clinical parts, and now the paper is being scored. Students who pass the exam will be awarded a certificate of completion by the sponsor, the Training Center of the State Food & Drug Administration of China.

All students thought of the program as a good way to learn TCM health care and looked forward to the beginning of the next training session.
