On September 3, the 100-day countdown to Asian Para Games, the grand charity evening party with the theme of Light of Asia, Light of Life was held at Tianhe Gymnasium, Guangzhou. As a large-scale enterprise which has been paying attention to and supporting the public welfare and charity, Evergrande donated 3 million yuan at the evening party to give full support to Asian Para Games.
With its practical action, Evergrande again demonstrated its strategy of giving great support to the charity and public welfare cause. It is reported that the donation amount of Evergrande was the highest among all the enterprises at the evening party.
Huang Huahua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Governor, Executive Chairman of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and Asian Para Games Organizing Committee, attended the charity evening party and turned on the lights for the countdown ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by: Wang Naikun, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Standing Vice-chairman of China Disabled Persons Federation; Xiao Min, Member of Party Committee and Assistant Director of State Sport General Administration, and Vice-chairman of Asian Para Games Organizing Committee; Zhu Xiaodan, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Executive Vice Governor, Vice-chairman of Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and Asian Para Games Organizing Committee; Zhang Guangning, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Municipal Party Secretary of Guangzhou, Vice-chairman and Secretary General of Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and Asian Para Games Organizing Committee.
At the evening party, some famous stars, including Alan Tam, Hacken Lee, Joey Yung, Leo Koo, Han Hong, Nathan Lee and Liang Yongbin, presented their charity performance successively. During the evening party, the donation from the society reached 30 million yuan. Such donation will be used for organizing events of the Asian Para Games and for the benefit of the disabled.
It is reported that since establishment, Evergrande has been devoting itself to the social welfare activities in such fields as sports, education, culture, livelihood and environmental protection, and has donated a total of 600 million yuan.
