Kempinski Hotels and Resorts, the world s oldest luxury hotel collection, is adding a fourth hotel in China under its management the Commune. Opened in 2002, the boutique hotel is located near the Shuiguan section of the Great Wall, offering sweeping views of the historic site.
The Commune offers a designer Club House that includes a courtyard restaurant, lounge, pool, gallery and private cinema, Currently 11 villas offer a total of 46 rooms, but after a second phase of construction, 265 rooms will be available featuring luxury services.
Last year, Conde Nast Traveler magazine named the Commune as one of its 100 Hot Hotels in the World.
