Two hot Olympic parties vied for attention on Saturday night: One hosted by Beijing-based real-estate developer SOHO at the Commune by the Great Wall boutique hotel, and the other hosted by MTV at Club Bud.
The well-heeled gathering of movers and shakers at Commune by the Great Wall located about 60km north of Beijing in the stunning Shuiguan Valley enjoyed an eclectic evening of live music, DJs, and star-gazing on a private section of the Great Wall.
Back in downtown Beijing, Chris Tucker and David Schwimmer were among the celebrities to join revelers at Club Bud s Olympic kick-off party. Budweiser has renovated an exhibition center to create a multi-room club, bar, and outdoor pool area. It will host a series of themed, invite-only parties during the Olympic Games.
