The interview focused on the development of Tongwei s core business of agriculture and new energy, the company s social responsibility, as well as its forward thinking and energy strategic choice under the current energy crisis.

Agriculture industry: Aquaculture improves life quality of mankind

When it comes to traditional agriculture, Mr. Liu introduced the benefits of eating fish fish is one of the best protein sources: 1. It contains highly unsaturated fatty acids, which can soften blood vessels, reduce blood fat and promote health. 2. It is rich in lecithin and cephalin. 3. Fish lives in water, and there is no history of large-scale epidemics by human and fish. 5. New Energy Industry: the key issue concerning human survival

In terms of new energy industry, Mr. Liu continued, by comparative analysis of several common clean energies, we conclude that solar energy is the most abundant, economical, clean and eco-friendly sustainable energy. By the book Energy Revolution- Changing the 21st Century, we would like to do researches combining practices with theories, and look into the matter of human civilization progress and sustainable development with the perspectives of corporate mission, industry values, social responsibility, national morality and human survival, instead of looking at it simply with the angle of corporate development.

Host: From the role of a natural person, you are a father, a son, and husband; from the social level, you are standing committee member of the CPPCC, and board chairman of Tongwei. If you could choose, what title do you wish to have?

Liu: Actually, none. Just chose entrepreneur after comparison.

H: You would have chosen inventor, if there was such an option.

L: I d always wanted to be an inventor deep in my heart over the past 20 years. The creating process requires great will power, and is also a path filled with happiness. Entrepreneur is defined from the aspects of business, management and person traits, including integrity, creativity, learning, and persistence. This role enables me to think about our existence value, social responsibility, and social mission.

H: Mr. Liu, we can say you are a writer because of this book. Yet, you are writing another book at the same time - with your own footprints - the book of life. We can find both tradition and rebellion in you. You love your family, your parents, and at the same time, you are always making discoveries. How do you balance between these two?

L: We need to give thanks to everything in life. How you treat your family is related to your work and personal relationship. A person without filial piety cannot work well either. That is why we say, to a company, a society, good virtue must come first.
