Chunyuan attends national food traceability system meeting

October, 20-22, national meat and vegetable distribution traceability system construction pilot program working meeting was held in Shanghai. As the only invited company from Sichuan, Chunyuan food attends the meeting with Chengdu government officials.

At the meeting, mayors of Shanghai, Dalian, Nanjing Wuxi, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Qingdao, Chongqing and Chengdu signed the agreement of meat and vegetable distribution traceability system construction. As the major leading food company in Chengdu s pork market, Chunyuan under Tongwei group has put a great deal of manpower, material and financial resources to match the pig information inquiry platform of Chengdu municipal government, and to upgrade market access of pork meat products.

Chunyuan applies RFID technique to its breeding process for Gold Card Pork. The stored information includes sow line and boar line for the piglets, immunization information, growth cycle, slaughter process information, quarantine, as well as current position, status, price and production number of products. This not only enables consumers to clearly know about the product they purchase, but also facilitates problem solving process, if any.
