In the early morning of August 18th, 2010, Sany 1000-tonnage-class crawler crane SCC10000 successfully accomplished the hoisting work of the core part of project- the dome of Fuqing nuclear power station in Fujian, China.
The dome of the nuclear power station is 11m in height, 37m in diameter, and has a total weight of 170 tons. In this case, SCC10000 crawler crane adopted the LJDB (luffing jib+ superlift mast + superlift counterweight) operating condition, with 60-meter main boom, 54-meter luffing jib, and the superlift working radius of 24 m, while the angle of the main boom was 75.1 and its hoisting height was 60m. All these settings enabled smooth hoisting, positioning and placing of the dome.
The maximal rated hoisting load of SCC10000 is 1000 tons and its rated lifting moment can reach 14,000 t/m. When main boom and luffing jib were set in the LJ operating condition, the maximal length could reach 96m + 96m, and the maximal
vertical lifting height was approximately 190m.
SCC10000 has been working continuously for nearly 60 days since launched on June 18th, 2010. It has completed numerous complex hosting tasks, such as lifting the suspension girders and other steel structures, as reported from Zhongyuan Engineering Corp., a branch company of China National Nuclear Corporation. The stability and excellent performance of SCC10000 has won positive reception from many clients worldwide.
