The Snow in Winter, Family for All-10th Foreign Friends Talent Performance opened at Changchun Broadcast & TV Central Studio late evening on December14, 2010.
The foreigners working, learning or living in Changchun spent a beautiful night of singing and dancing together. The talent performance started with a hot modern dance, followed by other singing and dancing shows including Be Your Beloved, The Moon Represents My Heart, Farewell, and We Meet in Changchun, etc.
Changchun Foreign Friends Talent Performance, which is sponsored by Changchun Foreign Affairs Office, Changchun Municipal Office of Publicity, Administrative Committee of Jingyue Economic Development Zone and Changchun TV Station, has been held successfully for ten years since 2001. The foreigners in Changchun get together once a year, giving talent performances.
Wonderful singing and dancing as well as folk customs of different countries combine into an elaborate show, which have not only promoted Changchun s cultural exchanges with other countries, and deepened the friendship between the people in Changchun their counterparts of different countries. Foreign friends enthusiastic participation in the event has also reflected their special regards for Chinese culture and their love for the second hometown Changchun.
"I like parks. I like South Lake Park. The lake is so beautiful," a foreign friend nicknamed Ma Shengli said. I love Changchun. It is very beautiful. And the people here are very friendly, Tanya said.
The performance concluded with the song Auld Lang Syne. Government officials including Wang Zhenhua watched the performance.
