Over 30 domestic and foreign famous painters and calligraphers gathered at Beiwu Town on September 25, 2010 to carry out larges scale painting and calligraphy activities and draw pictures for Beiwu Picking Festival. It launched the autumn Lvzhongming Picking Culture Festival of Beiwu Town.
The autumn Lvzhongming Picking Culture Festival of Beiwu Town is a traditional activity of Beiwu Town which had been carried out for 10 years. The Picking Culture Festival integrated sightseeing, picking, fishing and catering as a whole. It set up 10 melon, vegetable, and flower spots as well as 3 fishing spots. Millions kilograms high quality melon and vegetable, tens of thousand of flowers, 10 kinds of fishes were waiting for the visitors. The visitors can pick cherry tomato, cucumber, colored bell pepper, Begonia fimbristipula, purple corn, purple peanut, purple sweet potato, small watermelon and melon. Besides, the visitors can present the picked flowers to their relatives as gift.
It should be observed that the visitors experienced the living vegetables on the Picking Culture Festival and felt special interest. Besides, the visitors can angle at the forest land, taste fresh fish, play child roller and do pottery works.
