On October 22, 2009, the 5th Easy Asia Economy and Culture Forum co-hosted by JiaxingUniversity and Kwandong University of South Korea opened in JiaxingUniversity. Delegations from Kwandong University of South Korea, Irkutsk State University of Russia, Myongji University of South Korea took part in the Forum. Other experts from Aalborg Universtiy of Denmark, ZhejiangUniversity, TongjiUniversity, etc. participated in the Forum.
The theme of the Forum was "The Economic Cooperation in East Asia during the Financial Crisis". Party Secretary Hu Jianchen presided over the Forum, and President Xu Xianmin addressed the Forum.
