Alain Pierre Leger, a Research fellow of French Academy of Sciences and guest professor of our school, came to our school to give a week-long lecture at the request of Cao Yingjie professor of the department of mathematics and physics on 16th, May.
On May 18,president Zhao Yuexia accompanied by the staffs of the office of international cooperation and exchange, visited professor Alain in nonlinear research section, in Chunhui building .President Zhao extended her warm welcome to Professor Alain s for her visit and endorsement for the related subjects in our university and wished Professor Alain a pleasant stay in the following working days.
Professor Alain is a senior fellow of Applied Mechanics Central Laboratory in French Academy of Sciences. He had received his doctor's degrees both in mathematics and science. In October 2008, he hired out as a guest professor with our school. He was engaged for a long period of time in the research of the application of nonlinear dynamics system in engineering construction. Her key research field refers to structural mechanics, non-smooth dynamic system theory, such as contact, impact and so on, and bifurcation problems and its applications in mechanics. Professor Alain is an international famous expert on nonlinear dynamics system theory and application, and she has published more than 100 academic thesises.
Professor Alain will hold a symposium about modeling, theoretical calculation and numerical tests and series problem on obstacles collision system and two colloquiums for our students and teachers during her visit.
