Outstanding Gardener plan launched in our university

On November 10, we launched the Outstanding Gardener plan---inviting outstanding alumni to be supervisors of our students. This activity aims to deepen alumni s affection towards their mother school, explore our alumni resources and provide our students with more growth opportunities and platforms.
A total of 15 alumni were invited to serve as supervisors, covering government, business, arts & media and education, such as Guo Chang-jiang, Vice President of China Red Cross, Liu Li-min, Director of Beijing Education Commission. As planned, every alumnus is to act as a supervisor for two undergraduate or graduate students and his tenure will last one year. The mien of those outstanding people will influence in a very important way the quality-oriented education, comprehensive development, values and careers of our students. Supervisors, by means of discussions, internship and formulation of life s plan, are to guide the growth of young students. In the meeting, these alumni expressed their concerns with young students and deep feeling for their mother school. Party Secretary Zhang Xue attended the meeting and extended sincere thanks to them.
Finally, Alumni Association called for young students to learn from and follow the example of them, not to disappoint the expectation of their mother school and become qualified talents needed by this new age!
