CNU Holds 19th Student Conference

The 19 CNU Student Conference was held on April 26, which was attended by 292 student delegates. CNU s party secretary Zhang Xue, President Liu Xincheng, vice party secretary Chen Ning, the national student union chairman Chen Lin and the Beijing student union chairman Luo Gang also attended the meeting. Leaders from all colleges and departments as well as youth league secretaries participated in the meeting.

The conference discussed and endorsed Student Union Work Report, Proposal Work Report and On Revision of CNU Student Union Chapter, and the conference also elected 31 members in the 19th Student Union Committee.

President Liu Xincheng said that the conference is a big event for CNU s young students in terms of political progress and it is a meeting held during the period of Learning and Practicing Scientific Development Approach, which will have a profound impact on promoting construction of a unique and high-level normal university.

Liu said CNU must build up three new environments, or an environment for dream, an environment for talent and an environment for learning. He wished that all teachers and students can make joint efforts to improve the school, teaching and learning and to make new contributions to the soft environment of CNU.
