On the morning of Feb. 26, 2009, Dr. Kuo-Chih Hua, director of External Cooperation of Science and Technology Department, American Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (AGTRC), paid a visit to the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and gave an academic report on "Goodyear External Science and Technology Program." Teachers and graduate students of relevant majors attended this academic exchange activity.
The doctor has received a warm welcome from the sponsor school. Before the report, he introduced briefly the history, development and future research fields of Goodyear. Prof. JIA Demin from the School also gave an account of the recent development of the rubber specialty. The academic exchange activity tightened the connection between the University and the enterprise, and promoted bilateral cooperative research and development.
