On Jan 23, a delegation led by LIANG Ying, Chairman of Guangxi University (GXU) visited SCUT. Chairperson of University Affairs Committee WANG Yingjun and Vice-president QIU Xueqing extended a warm welcome to the guests and the two sides held a symposium in the First Conference Hall.
WANG indicated that the two universities have established good long-term cooperative relationships with each other and both sides have made significant progress together. She also pointed out that both sides should strengthen communication to effectively promote all work, and that SCUT would continuously support the development and construction of GXU so that promote the cooperation between two universities to a new level.
Moreover, QIU introduced to the guests the development of SCUT in the past year. LIANG expressed thanks to SCUT for its long-term support. He indicated that since the pairing-assistance from 2001, SCUT has given significant support to GXU in various aspects such as discipline construction, teacher training and scientific research, which has substantially promoted the development of GXU.
Both sides also signed an agreement on directional training for PHD students in GXU and had a profound communication for further cooperation.
