Hunan University Reached Framework Cooperation Intention with SHU

Li Weiwei, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee met in Changsha with Lai Dingming, president of Shih Hsih University (SHU) and his delegation on the afternoon of Oct. 17. They held amiable talks on such project cooperation between Hunan University and SHU as academic communication and personnel exchanges.

SHU and Hunan University reached framework cooperation intention in terms of exchanges of teachers, scholars & experts, researchers and students, sharing of education publications and academic information as well as international academic research projects, including co-construction of International Research Centre for Media Culture in Hunan University, convening of the first domestic media forum across Taiwan Strait, and implementation of double-degree education of undergraduates and exchanges of graduates.

Director Li Weiwei hoped that the two universities can further stimulate cultural exchanges between Hunan and Taiwan through this platform, while President Lai Dingming promised that SHU will promote the substantive progress in communication and exchange of the two schools.
