Hunan University Takes Measures to Intensify Chinese Culture's Soft Power Research

As a national research base for the soft power of Chinese culture, Hunan University has taken measures to effectively carry out the research of Chinese culture's soft power. Leaders of the university have agreed to attach greater significance to this issue. Favorable conditions will be created and provided for the research work in this field.

The Research Center for Soft Power of Chinese Culture was set up in the university to strengthen the research system and build up a professional research team. In less than a year since it was founded, the center has undertaken some prominent tasks including the project subsidized by the National Social Science Fund, the formulation of the highlights of the General Administration of Press and Publication's 12th Five-year Plan and the compiling of Chinese Culture's Soft Power Research Blue Book.

It also successfully hosted two summit seminars on soft power of Chinese culture.

Liu Keli, secretary of the CPC Committee of Hunan University vowed that the university will strive to build the center into the base of scientific research, information exchange and data and cultivation of professional researchers for the Chinese culture's soft power research.
