Nov. 16, 2009FESTO Aerodynamic Center HUST attended the 14th International Fairs for Power Transmission and Control - PTC ASIA 2009, which grandly opened on Oct.26 and closed on Oct. 29 at the Shanghai International Expo Center. PTC ASIA, successfully held almost annually since 1991, sharing the same status as HANNOVER MESSE, has become the biggest trade fair of its kind in Asia and second largest in the world.
PTC ASIA 2009 presented the latest developments in fluid power, mechanical transmission, compressed air technology, fastener & spring, bearing and internal-combustion engine on a display area of over 60,000 square meters. More than 1,300 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions attended the Fairs, including Germany, Italy, Japan, U.S., U.K., France, Spain, Finland, South Korea, Taiwan China and Hong Kong China. A highlight of this year s exhibition was a series of state-of-the-art products & technology presented by Chinese universities.
The eye-catching university pavilion in the High-tech Display Area, adjacent to Chinese and world industrial giants of hydraulic and pneumatic components including Bosch Rexroth, ATOS, Beijing Huade and Ningbo Huaye, made its high-profile debut at the Fairs. The university pavilion attracted lots of trade visitors from both home and abroad with commercialization of technological achievements.
One of the university exhibitors is HUST's FESTO Aerodynamic Center, which is attached to the School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. Other university exhibitors are Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Yanshan University and Shanghai University of Science and Technology.
FESTO Aerodynamic Center HUST, now a home leader in the research in hydraulics and pneumatics and the applications after over ten years development, presented its latest series of hi-tech achievements, including new type of hydraulic / pneumatic components, air test instrument, hydraulic / pneumatic movable platform with multi-degree of freedom and pneumatic simulator. A technology lecture entitled The Application of Hydraulic & Pneumatic Technology in Control and Test Equipment was delivered at the Fairs.
Many trade visitors came to the exhibition stand looking for business opportunities. Visitors also included HUST alumni specializing in fluid power, who expressed their appreciation of the remarkable theoretical and practical achievements made by the Center over the years.
