President Prof Shuguo Wang Meets The Delegation from Politecnico Di Torino

On the morning of September 7th, President Prof Shuguo Wang met the delegation leaded by Prof. Francesco Profumo, Rector from Politecnico Di Torino(PDT)Politecnico Di Torino. Also on the delegation are Prof Carlo Naldi, Prof Chen Qiuping, and Prof Mario Baldi. Vice President International Prof Fuping Wang and the director of International Office Prof Sumei Zhang also attended in the meeting.
After a warm welcome for the delegation s visit, President Wang briefly introduced HIT s current student s number, branch locations, history, disciplinary constitution, priority fields and international cooperation. President Wang pointed out the similarities between PDT and HIT, and expected a broader cooperation between the two universities, through faculty and student exchange, joint-education programs and so on.
Prof. Francesco Profumo thanked President Wang for his warm reception and expressed his sound impression of HIT. He introduced the history of PDT and the current enrollment students, disciplinary constitution, national ranking and international programs, with an emphasis on PDT s scholarship programs, English courses, new campus, research centers, university investment, and faculty-supporting programs. He expressed a sincere hospitality to HIT faculty s visit and the sense of a promising success between PDT and HIT in the future.
At the end of the meeting, on behalf of respective universities, the two presidents signed a frame agreement between PDT and HIT, which will be a foundation for further cooperation.
During their stay at HIT, the delegation visited HIT Research Institute of Robotics, and discussed the details of student exchange process. Moreover, Prof. Francesco Profumo gave a presentation of PDT on the afternoon that day, and the introduction was well welcomed by HIT students.
